Band Jams 24/7 Live and mp3 Music !!!
The Del Counts have
played now for 45 years and are ready to call it quits, right?
Not a chance.
Charlie Schoen (bass
guitar and vocals), & Co. have collectively achieved what no
other band has in the TC area; longevity, ultra-dues, and a box
full of songs too numerous to mention.
Schoen has
been known as the human jukebox and laughs about that. Not the
flashiest of the rock n’ rollers, the best, or hottest group on
the scene, and certainly not the youngest, but they are solid
entertainers that can play any tune from the great 60s, and
early 70s songbook. Schoen has been with the Del Counts since
its inception. Countless miles traveled, thousands of gigs, wild
times, which anchors this group into the longest running act in
the Twin Cities. Inducted into the Hall of Fame, the group is
certainly the envy of all the younger groups today whose shelf
life is only a couple years. What do the Rolling Stones,
Beatles, and the Del Counts have in common? “We all played for
millions of people, but it took us a little longer,” laughs
Schoen. In fact, Miller was the keyboard player for the Accents
who opened for the Beatles at Met Stadium in 1964.
Schoen has also been working up a live recording of the bands
favorite songs and has them ready for their adoring fans that
number in the hundreds. He is also bringing out his original
song library of one hundred or so songs which includes country,
R&B, rock, and a host of up tempo compilations. He is going to
make his first CD since being the big kid on the block back in
the 60s when he opened for the likes of Wilson Pickett, Moody Blues,
Eddie Cochran, Buckinghams, and Young Rascals to name just a
few.
Del Counts Hall of Fame Band will bring you back
in time with songs by CCR to Gary & the Pacemakers, but not so
much that you don’t get your mojo movin’. Rocking
the Twin Cities and Greater Minnesota, Live.
